Altadena Strong

Hi! We’re Rachel and Eric, of A-Frame Pottery. As LA/Pasadena/Altadena Natives, the Eaton Fire directly affected our community and those we hold nearest and dearest.

In  June of this year, we bought a lovely home on the Alta/Pasa border off of Allen. We just finished getting our pottery studio setup at the end of December. As the chaos and devastation of the Eaton Fire evacuations grew around us, we did the only thing we could - we got creative.

Eric made nearly 50 handmade ceramic bowls, and I started designing logos and graphics to get Altadena branded apparel back in the hands of those who ache for their beloved city.

I chose 8 photos that I felt represented the Altadena we all know and love, and designed them into a graphic for apparel. All items will ship directly to your address of choice. If you’d prefer, you can also have them shipped to our studio.

All (net) proceeds from any merch purchased goes directly to relief funds for the Eaton Fire. Specifically: World Central Kitchen, Pasadena Humane, and the Red Cross. We will also be donating to specific, vetted, GoFundMe accounts to support the rebuild of Altadena’s small businesses and schools - head to our local business support page to check out their links directly. To support local families, head to our local families support page.

The bowls Eric made take about 10 days to fire twice in the kiln and glaze, but those will be coming next, and we’re so excited to share them with you. Follow our instagram for updates on those!

Join us in honoring the spirit of Altadena—where community, strength, and hope will always shine through. Wear your support. Wear your pride. Wear Altadena Strong.
